BJ, Tom and their son Josh are so communicative, helpful and just good people. The whole weekend was incredible for so many reasons, but by and large due to the hard work and kindness of the family that runs and owns the hideout. We wanted to share the area and landscape with our family and friends and the Hieout did not dissapoint. We booked the venue sight unseen after looking at photographs as we had gotten engaged close by while climbing. We had our wedding in early June 2022 at the Hideout and we can say without a doubt that it was the best decision we made in our planning process.

They’ll also provide your event with professional event services, including: They’ll offer a diverse range of event items for your special day, such as chairs, tables, sound systems, and more. The staff at The HideOut are dedicated to ensuring your wedding day celebration goes off without a hitch. All in all, The HideOut has enough space to host up to 200 of your friends and family or more per request. Offering beautiful views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, this is an ideal spot for you and your loved one to exchange vows. There is also a wedding ceremony site located in the middle of a meadow. Behind the lodge is the old Western-style saloon and bar. For instance, the 5,000-square-foot lodge offers five bedroom suites, complete with two kitchens and decks that are set right out on the water. The HideOut offers plenty of space for couples and guests to host events of all sizes and themes. Located just 12 miles south of Kirkwood Ski resort and close to the old Western towns of MotherLode and Lake Tahoe, The HideOut is a perfect mountainside getaway. Set against the Sierra Nevada mountain range and offering uninterrupted views of meadows, rivers, and streams, The HideOut is an event space unlike any other. The Hideout is a family-friendly environment where you can talk business, catch a game, or share a meal with friends.We are currently booked FULL for 2022. In our kitchen, we use only high quality, fresh ingredients to create classic and updated American comfort foods: delicious appetizers and small plates to share, soups, large salads, sandwiches, burgers, hearty entrees– something for everyone. Pete and Austin have both worked in the local restaurant industry for years and are well known in the community.

Pete Vomvolakis and Austin Welch, with the help of hardworking and supportive friends and family members, have transformed an original 1930’s Aptos home into a beautiful new restaurant and full bar. Please give us a call for details and availability. For parties, events, and larger groups, we have a semi-private banquet room that can accommodate up to 28 people.
